H20 Building Services urges caution when switching water supplier in Scotland

Top water consultants at H²O Building Services urges caution when considering switching water supplier from the incumbent water supplier Business Stream to another water supplier such as Aimera,  Osprey (now changed name to Anglian Water Business) as during the process of carrying out water audits for various clients who have switched water supplier substantial overcharges have been identified. One client had been switch from Business Stream to Aimera but there was no formal contract in place and the client was only receiving a 5% discount on the water supply and had been overcharged some £22,000.  Another client supplier by Osprey (now Anglian Water Business) had given the client a small discount but more importantly the potential savings on the effluent charges were in excess of £180,000!

Senior Water Consultant Graham Mann says ” The client who was receiving a discount of 5% now receives a discount of 14% and we have reclaimed the £22,000 overcharge across 2 sites, the other client we are in communications with.”

I have also heard recently that a few large multi site clients are receiving single digit water supply discounts, looking at the potential water supply profits this is well short of my discount expectations and certainly in most cases I have seen these customers are not receiving expert advise which is extremely disappointing, in other words poor value service.
