H²O secure substantial cash refund of £ 61,000 for Electrolux from the Water Company
When Electrolux called “The Water Cost Reduction Experts” H²O Building Services for information on water leak detection services they did not expect that a mere telephone enquiry would be so profitable.
Approx. 1 year ago Electrolux had repaired a number of significant water leaks, the underground water pipes were decades old, the cost to the business was in excess of £ 150,000, further underground water leaks were suspects as the water costs still appeared to be high.
The initial enquiry call was taken by H²O Building Services Senior Water Consultant Graham Mann who has over 30 years experience within the water industry and is one of the leading experts, Graham said “I asked the client various key questions in order to ascertain the situation as it usual within the water industry, it is the simple information that seems to produce quite staggering results, the first question was: –
* Have you applied for a water leakage refund? The client replied Yes but the Water Company refused stating “you are not entitled to a refund”.
* The second question was – Can you supply me with 2 years water bills?
We informed the client that the business was entitled to a substantial water leakage refund and that we could reduce the water costs still further as there was further water leakage on site.
H²O Building Services negotiated with Northumbrian Water a water leakage refund of £ 61,000 and carried out further water leak detection and repairs, savings a further £ 30,000 per year, in addition H²O set up a billing system so Electrolux was able to charge the tenants for water and waste water services saving the company a further £ 10,000 per year.
In total Electrolux have saved £ 40,000 per year on water costs going forward and received a £ 61,000 cash refund.
