Received a back charge from your water company? Lido Leisure Parks did and called H²0 Building Services for help.
The Directors of Lido Leisure Parks in North Yorkshire received a letter from Yorkshire Water informing them of a substantial waste water back charge, some £ 164,527.44. This came as a massive shock causing serious concern for the business as you could imagine.
The Directors called in the UK’s leading water consultants H²O Building Services, having over 20 years experience in water auditing, water saving and water consultancy they were best placed to deal with Water Company back charge demands particularly taking into consideration the number involved which would have a serious impact on the business.
A full in depth site survey was completed which included obtaining detailed plans relating to sewer pipe adoption going back over 20 years, visits to Harrogate Council planning offices to obtain old documents and after a 3 month investigation and numerous letters between Yorkshire Water and H²O which resulted in no positive conclusion. A meeting was called at H²O offices and after several hours of negotiations with Yorkshire Water, Directors of Lido Leisure and Senior staff from H²O a deal was reached resulting in a saving of £ 134,527.44 – A brilliant but fair result.
Senior Consultant Graham Mann at H²O said ” It was a worrying time for the client, close support was vital, we kept the client in the loop every step of the way we achieved a truly exceptional result. In addition we worked with the client to reduce the water consumption going forward and taking into consideration site facilities and the number of mobile homes on site the water consumption was by far in excess of our expectations, water leak detection was carried out and water leak repairs completed, water consumption and costs have reduced by over 40% – a great result.
