The water audit experts awarded a further 2 year water bill validation contract by TUI Travel Plc

For the past 2 years The Water Audit Experts at H2O Building Services based in West Yorkshire have provided TUI Travel Plc a water bill validation and bureau service to over 800 sites across Scotland, England and Wales. Having produced substantial water savings and refunds reducing water bills H2O have been awarded a 2 year extension to the contract.

Many Energy Brokers and Energy Management Consultancies provide what essentially is a water bill checking service, which in its simplest form is checking to ensure the water meter readings are correct and looking for arithmetical errors. Where as a water bill validation and bureau service carried out by The Water Audit Experts at H2O is a far more detailed forensic examination service, ranging from procurement of water services in Scotland and identifying savings by switching water supplier or indeed negotiating a better value deal with the existing water supplier, ensuring each individual element of the water and waste water bill is correctly levied. For instance on one particular site in Scotland the water supplier had been charging a water and waste water standing charge based on a 25mm water meter, having completed a site survey it was found to be a 15mm water meter resulting in annual savings of £400 and a refund of £4,700.

The total groups water savings and refunds were substantial across the group, a standard water bill checking service would not have identified many of the areas being overcharged.

Graham Mann, Senior Partner of H2O says “The contract renewal is testament to the hard work and dedication of our water services bureau team, client retention is absolute key to building and developing a sustainable business. As well as the water audit and support all water charges and bills are correct in preparation to exploit the opportunities in England during 2017 when the water retail market opens up fully so we can negotiate better value terms which will not just be based on price but also other important value services”.
