H²0 Building Services negotiate yet another refund of £ 44,000 due to water billing errors by the water company.
When expert water auditors H²O Building Services were requested to examine previous water bills levied by United Utilities they had no idea of the extent of the historical overcharges until the team trawled through the previous water bills and identified very substantial overcharging. Although the business had sold up and re-located the water company were forced to concede the overcharges had to be re-paid just look at this cheque.
A spokesman for H²O said “A large part of our overall business now is identifying and negotiating refunds due to historical water billing errors by all water companies. The worst offending water companies are United Utilities, they serve the North West of the UK, Severn Trent Water serving the Midlands closely followed by Northumbrian Water who supply the North East and finally Scottish Water Business Stream who serve of course Scotland although we have to say they are the retailer of water and waste water services only and they do not maintain the water distribution network (this is carried out by the wholesaler Scottish Water) Business Stream appear substantially more focused and proactively check billing”
“If your company is supplied water via any of the aforementioned water companies our advise would simply be copy the last water bill received, the portion that shows the breakdown of charges and email them to wateraudit@h2obuildingservices.co.uk you never know you may be due a windfall!”
